Helen Greathouse, owner of Greenville Design has been serving the needs of manufacturers, both large and small, for over 30 years.

My main area of responsibility has been to design tooling, jigs, fixtures and other equipment used in the manufacture, assembly and testing of a product and arranging with vendors for these items to be purchased or built. I have done plant layout for the installation of new equipment, work flow and layout of new office areas. I have used AutoCAD Mechanical 2D mainly for plant layout and SolidWorks for all design.  I have been the CAD Manager for Manufacturing Engineering and as such was in charge of all electronic CAD files and related documents for tooling, jigs, fixtures and equipment.

• Planning, design, cost analysis, machine shop practices, toolmaking procedures, machine design, manufacturing procedures and methods, safety, metallurgy, electronics, ergonomics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Cutting tools, tool holders, machine tools, jigs and fixtures, gages and measuring instruments, dies, fixtures for welding, riveting and other mechanical fastening methods.
• Plant layout and architectural details.
• Proficient in the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D.
• SolidWorks instructor, I am a Certified SolidWorks Professional.
• Set up SolidWorks templates to company standards.
